Join Dr. Brett King as he discusses these topics and answers your questions. Dr. King specializes in the treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune skin diseases. He pioneered the use of Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors in dermatology, and his work revealed the utility of this class of medicines for the treatment of alopecia areata (AA) in addition to other conditions. In 2022, Dr. King was named a Patient Care Hero by the American Academy of Dermatology for his work. He has been the lead investigator on multiple clinical trials for JAK inhibitors in alopecia areata to test their effectiveness. Dr. King received his B.A. at the University of California at Santa Cruz, his Ph.D. from Stanford University and his M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine.
