October 26, 2007, Halloween Bingo Party supporting NAAF in honor of Ashley Vacca.

October, 2007, 15 year old Vikram Bhatt and the Fight Alopecia Areata Club at his High School sold bracelets and educated shoppers outside of the local Wal-Mart, bringing in over $1200 for NAAF.

On October 3, 2007, Greenmone Elementary School held a "Hat Day" to raise awareness and funds for NAAF, in honor of Margaret McGraw.

Shop for a Cause, Macy's, Denise Contino sold 160 tickets for Macy's philanthropic event, in honor of her son Joseph.

During the month of September, Chandra Roche put out a donation jar at her work, which resulted in awareness of alopecia areata, and funds for NAAF. Thank you Chandra!

June Secreto and the Seattle, WA support group held a "Shopping Evening at Chico's" benefitting the National Alopecia Areata Foundation.

The Barry Family hosted a benefit concert, Bar-B-Cure for Alopecia, in Austin, TX, in honor of Midori Barry, September 23, 2007.

In August, 2007, Rachel Li ran in the Ironman Marathon in honor of her brother with alopecia areata! This event brought in over $1500 for NAAF! Thanks Rachel!

Casual Day at Holy Trinity School raised $603 this year, it's 5th Annual Year of having the special day for alopecia areata!

The Vainer Family of Atlanta, GA recently celebrated the Bar Mitzvah of one of their sons, and raised money for NAAF at the same time!

In August, Adriana Beale had a fundraiser at her school in Manchester, MO, which raised over $225! Thank you Beale family!

Piedrahita Letter Writing Campaign in honor of Kaitlyn Piedrahita! This touching letter was able to bring in $1845 for NAAF! Thank you!

KB Alloys, Inc. hosted Blue Jeans Friday, where employees could dress down for a $1 donation. Because of this, they were able to donate $100 to NAAF!

Rogers' Elementary School in Waterloo, IL, raised funds for NAAF in honor of a student with alopecia areata.

Chuck E Cheese Fundraiser for Aubri Norris brought in 160 individuals to show support and enjoy a Pizza night!

Bald and Beautiful event, founded by Jessa McGregor, at Nanaimo District Secondary School increases awareness and raises funds for NAAF!

"Turn it around for alopecia areata!" Sarah Mendes organized this event, where for one dollar, students would get a paper cut out of a t-shirt to color and put their name on. These were put on a big shirt, displayed in the lunch room. On a special day, the people who donated got to turn their shirts around backwards! What a great event!

"Life Projects" by Kellsey Norris. During Charity week at her school, students donated their money to charity booths that they set up. $113 was raised in honor of her sister Aubri!

Fancy This Boutique, Shopping for NAAF, Lansdale, PA,organized by Kathy Bocchinfuso! 20% of the sales from June 2, 2007 went to NAAF!

14 Year Old Nicole Brown sold posters at her mom's work during a dress down week, all in honor of the teen. This creative and successful fundraiser brought in over $1100!

Alopecia Areata Awareness Jeans Day at Hubbard School in Ramsey, New Jersey! Organized by the Ramirez family, this fun-fundraiser brought in $255 for NAAF!

Super Dance at Mtn. Grove Middle School in honor of and planned by student Emily Brawley of Mtn. Grove, MO in late April, 2007!

Kylie Clowney and family, booth at Quakertown Arts Alive Festival, including face painting, juice boxes, pb&j's and educating attendees about alopecia areata!

The Albany Men's Lacrosse team had a fundraiser for young Nicole Dale to make people aware of Alopecia. The fundraiser was held at there lacrosse game on March 31st 2007.

The Crivellaro Family of Easton, PA sold candles to help raise money for NAAF. With the help of a matched gift, their donation was larger than $2000! What an impressive fundraiser! Thank you!

Group Birthday Party in Mobile, AL! Thank you to the seven girls who, instead of gifts, donated to the charity of their choice, including NAAF.

In honor of Johnny's birthday, his family and friends joined him for an afternoon of skating. Rather than giving gifts, Johnny asked for donations for NAAF. Thank you for such a selfless donation, Johnny & Happy Birthday to you!

Another Birthday Celebration! Recently John celebrated his 12th Birthday and in lieu of presents, all of his Albany Alleycat Soccer teammates and parents donated to NAAF!

On September 22, 2006, the Naughton Family of Illinois hosted their 2nd Annual Links for Locks golf tournament!

The Mohawk House Restaurant in Sparta, NJ was the location of the NAAF Benefit Fundraiser on September 21, 2006. The Randazzo family organized this event in honor of their daughter Julie, which brought in over 330 individuals from the local community!

McGrath's Pub in Harrisburg PA was the location of the Annual Hershey, PA Support Groups Special Event on September 30th, 2006.

On September 17, 2006, Donna Beisel ran in the Philadelphia Distance Run to raise funds & awareness for NAAF!

Heads Up! Philadelphia Distance Run. Corrine Macauley ran over 13 miles in support of NAAF and everyone with alopecia areata!

Cohen Family Letter Writing Campaign honoring Shawn Cohen was sent out September 1, 2006. Young Shawn is an inspiration to all.

September 1-3, 2006, NAAF had a booth at the On the Waterfront Festival in Rockford, IL, educating the local community about alopecia areata.

AHST High School in Avoca, IA continued to sell bracelets during September, 2006 Awareness Month!

The Borgese Family & Friends raised money for NAAF through a letter writing Campaign which kicked off in August, 2006.

In August, 2006 the teachers at Pickering Valley Elementary School in Chester Springs, PA sent in donations to NAAF.

On August 19, 2006, the Raughton Family organized a Pancake Breakfast at the Hillcrest Baptist Church in honor of the National Alopecia Areata Foundation.

Over $200 was donated in July from the Avodah Olahm project at Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School in Palo Alto, CA. Thank you Scherer Family!

Kylie Clowney raised funds between December and August at a local 5 and 10 called Sines. Thank you Kylie; what a clever idea!

In honor of Maddie Werner, a donation was made to the Ascot Fund in July. This donation was collected by Maddie's young classmates!

Tom's River Festival! Donna & Matt Hakim educated their local community by creating and working a booth at the annual music festival.

3rd Annual Delmarva Links for Locks golf tournament on June 10th at 1:30pm at Eagles Landing Golf Course in Ocean City, MD.

Vikram Bhatt designed his own alopecia areata bracelet and sold to family and frineds in June, 2006.

Links for Locks, Clarksville, TN. The Long family hosted a local golf tournament, sending all proceeds to NAAF in

July, 2006.

2005 Gold Triangle Award Winners!

NAAF was once again honored by the American Academy of Dermatology with one Gold Triangle Award for the awareness which resulted from the release of Boundin', the short animated film that played alongside Pixar's The Incredibles.

There is no better time to instill the power of public awareness and fundraising than childhood. Here is a list of ideas to promote community involvement in children.
